During the fourth quarter of 2023, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps in the United Arab Emirates exhibited varying trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. This analysis, derived from Sensor Tower data, provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.

Careem – rides, food & more saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 26.4K in early October and ending the quarter with around 23.5K. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 90K to 79K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride exhibited stable weekly downloads, with a notable increase from 8.5K to 10.5K by the end of December. The app maintained a consistent user base, starting at 275K active users and slightly decreasing to 251K towards the end of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 3.8K in late September and reaching 5.1K by the end of December. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase from 13.6K to 15.3K over the same period.

inDrive. Save on city rides had consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 3K to 4.2K throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable, with a slight increase from 40K to 41.9K by the end of December.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery showed an upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 2.2K in late September and ending at 3.9K in December. Weekly active users also increased steadily from 11.9K to 13.5K during the quarter, while weekly revenue fluctuated slightly, peaking at $13 in mid-December.
